PWC Volunteers! 2017-2018
Facilitator: Kathy Matter 742-6942
Participation Fee: None
The goal of PWC Volunteers! is to engage interested members in a different community volunteer activity each month. Dates and times will vary to match needs of the organization we will serve. This is a very different kind of interest group and every member of the Purdue Women’s Club will be contacted about events and we hope you will say yes as often as you can. There will also be news of upcoming opportunities in the newsletter and online. This group is run by a committee that includes Cheryl Knodle, Bonnie Hiatt, Laurie Selby, Marilyn Portman, Mary Kay Cahill, Barb Bowman, Susan Pierce, Patty Jischke, Marchell Baker, Janet Stapleton, Eileen Fitzpatrick, Sue Teder, and Janice Greener with Kathy Matter as facilitator. Please feel free to pass on any ideas about group volunteer opportunities to any of these women.
PWC VOLUNTEERS! does not have a specific membership as many groups do. Every PWC member can participate so watch for activities where you can lend a hand. Information will be in the newsletter and on the website. To get a direct mailing about events, send your contact information to Cheryl Knodle at email@example.com

PWC Volunteers! in April
In April, PWC Volunteers! will be volunteering at the West Lafayette Public Library, an organization that supports a number of Purdue Women’s Club groups through free use of the Library facilities. Each spring, the Friends of the Library holds an Annual Spring Book Fair. This is a major fundraising event with all proceeds being donated to the Library for acquisitions of new materials and event programming. Each month, the Friends' monetary donation helps purchase over 175 new books, CDs, magazines, and DVDs, along with providing money for the Summer Reading Club bags, Little Free Library books, refreshments at a variety events, and other needs as they arise at the Library.
On Thursday, April 19th, PWC Volunteers! will help with setting up for the Book Fair at 2 separate times: from 10.a.m.-1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
On Sunday, April 22nd , PWC Volunteers! will help with dismantling the record sale from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
You may sign up for any (or all!) of these events here: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/5080F4BA9A92DA1F49-pwcvolunteerswlp
