EXOTIC MOROCCO PRESENTED BY MARY ANN PENNEY MONDAY, MARCH 27 9:30 Refreshments
10:00 Program Host: Kathy McGraw's Home
Mary Ann Penney is another frequent world traveler and IFG Presenter. She will take us to Exotic Morocco. Mary Ann always has fabulous pictures of unique occasions, like a wedding. She reads these Culture Shock Books on Countries and then travels to them.
She will fill us in on the native Berbers, plus the country's history and culture. There were several countries that invaded and wanted to rule Morocco, so guess what language the country speaks.
Mary Ann and husband Richard visited Morocco last March 2016 on a six-day National Geographic Tour.
They spent two days in Casablanca and two days in Marakesh and then circled around to Fez.
They rode on a camel and had a GREAT time!
Come and hear more! RSVP Kathy McGraw at firstname.lastname@example.org OR call 617-1496.

Prella McBride, global traveler and Lafayette Symphony Donor, will talk about her safe trip to Iran . Who would think to go there unless you are a media reporter or have business there? Please join the International Friendship Group on Monday, April 24 at 9:30 a.m. for refreshments and casual time to meet others and possibly Prella, who will present at 10:00 a.m. Location of meeting is at the Purdue Turf Center. Prella will clue us in on "Life In Persia Today" and its hisory. She tells me that the Shah of Iran permitted the name Persia to be replaced with Iran in 1935. She watches for up-to-date information on how safe and welcome Americans are to the always questionable political relations with Iran. THIS WILL BE OUR LAST MEETING FOR THE YEAR. So try to make it and please send in a RSVP to email@example.com or 617-1496.

The following directions will avoid any confusion on your route. You will see all that name on the concrete sign with turfgrass under the sign. It is really quite easy to find, once you know. Just stay on Cherry Lane and I guarantee you will find it by doing this:
Turn off Northwestern Ave onto Cherry Lane - the road that passes the Mackey Stadium Parking Lot. Stay on Cherry --- NEVER GET OFF CHERRY.
You will pass residential homes on your Right
Pass Edgemont St.
Pass the Boiler Golf Complex
THEN --- Just ahead --- to your Right IS: The Agronomy Turf Center
Turn Right and head up a long, pretty tree-lined drive to the spacious parking AND great place to meet!
